Private Car/Taxi: This is the most comfortable and recommended way to visit both the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, as they are a significant distance apart (Ajanta is about 100km, Ellora is about 30km). You can hire a car and driver for the day.
State Transport Buses (MSRTC): Affordable and frequent bus services connect Aurangabad with nearby towns, including the drop-off points for Ajanta and Ellora. Look for Shivshahi or Ashwamedh services for more comfortable AC options.
Train Network: For travel between major Deccan cities (like Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Aurangabad), the Indian Railways network is extensive and cost-effective. Book well in advance, especially for AC classes.
