Gqeberha Public Transport: The city has a limited public bus system (Algoa Bus) but is not widely used by tourists. Minibus Taxis are the most common form of public transport for locals; while cheap, they follow set, non-marked routes and can be confusing for visitors. Safety & Security: As with any South African city, be situationally aware. Do not walk alone at night, especially in the city centers. Keep valuables out of sight, and secure your vehicle. It is generally advised to use ride-sharing or taxis after dark.
